AquaNor in Trondheim is one of the largest bi-annual event of the European aquaculture. However the main focus of the event is the salmon and Nordic aquaculture visitors arrive from all over the word and in this year the number of visitors was a new record exceeding the 20 thousands during the 4 days.

Since 1979, AquaNor has been an important international meeting place for the aquaculture industry, and it is today the world’s largest aquaculture technology exhibition.

During AquaNor, numerous seminars, mini-conferences, lectures, debates and presentations are held. This year, there is a special focus on the FAO Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries and Aquaculture, as well as on how Norwegian aquaculture technology may be relevant to other countries, climates and species.

AquaBioTech presented the general description of the ENVIGUARD project on a poster placed in the company booth and also visited the stands of companies and organisations considered as potential stakeholders in the project and introduced the project more detailed. These discussions were excellent opportunities to prepare a list of contacts to be involved in the commercialisation part of the project.
