The EU session will focus on lessons learnt from EU-FP7 funded projects on Ecosystem approach for aquaculture (EAA) with a special attention given to the interactions between aquaculture and the environment and on innovative solutions to anticipate and mitigate effects. Opportunities offered in the new Horizon 2020 programme to support aquaculture research and innovation will also be presented.
