With its worldwide partner network, TTZ has broad experience in developing and implementing national and international projects (including EU and UNDP).

The Alfred Wegener Institute conducts research in the Arctic, the Antarctic and at temperate latitudes. It coordinates Polar research in Germany and provides both the necessary equipment and the essential logistic back up for polar expeditions. The Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht, Centre for Materials and Coastal Research (HZG) is one of 18 members of the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centers. The main part of HZG is located in Geesthacht near Hamburg. In total, HZG staff accounts for approximately 600 scientists, engineers, and technicians working on topics in materials science, regenerative medicine, and coastal research. A focus of the Institute of Coastal Research at HZG is COSYNA (Coastal Observing System for Northern and Arctic Seas), one of the most extensive monitoring systems worldwide.

CEMITEC (www.cemitec.com), the Multidisciplinary Centre of Technologies for Industry – being FUNDACION CETENA as legal entity – is the Industry area of ADItech. CEMITEC’s goal is to develop technology that can be transferred to industry.

ADItech (Advanced Innovation and Technology Corporation/ www.aditechcorp.com) is a private entity that brings together technology centres located in Navarra in the fields of: Energy, Industry, Agro-food and Biomedicine, with a clear international vocation.

The group of Optics micro-nano Photonics and Biophotonics is researching in photonic bio-transducers and optical readout PoC devices 2007, leading and participating in RTD European and National projects. The group is covering the value change from the basic and applied research to the final application to reach the market in collaboration with industry. The group has published many research articles in top-ranked journals and patents. The Group belongs to the Technical University of Madrid and is established in the Center for Biomedical Research and Laser Centre.

Bio Optical Detection S.L. – BIOD is a start-up born from the Technical University of Madrid (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid – UPM) through the programme Actúa-UPM for the creation of new companies based on the knowledge generated at the academic scale. BIOTEM is contract research organization (CRO) which provides custom and high added value services in the field of immunotechnologies since 1980.

BIOTEM will contribute to the EnviGuard project by generating high affinity and specific monoclonal antibodies against toxins (saxitoxin, okadaic acid) and man-made pollutants (Polychlorinated biphenyls). These bioreagents will be generated using target molecules conjugated to carrier proteins and cutting edge technologies for monoclonal antibody development.

The company also operates as an advisor to the local (Orkney) and wider Scottish (UK) shellfish industry with regard to algal toxins from an industrial point of view.

Ilknak is a subsidiary of Nireus, the largest producer of Mediterranean farmed fish globally with production facilities in Greece, Spain and Turkey and exports to 40 countries. In 2005 Viking Fish Farms acquired the Ardtoe Marine farming Unit which was originally established in 1965 as a publicly funded aquaculture research station, and rapidly gained an international reputation in the development of techniques for rearing species such as turbot, sole, cod, haddock, halibut lobsters and scallops. Viking continues to carry out both in‐house and publicly funded research in marine aquaculture whilst also producing commercial quantities turbot, ballan wrasse, and sea urchin juveniles; native and Pacific oyster spat; and seaweeds, which are sold to farmers in the UK and elsewhere.
