P012 logoABT Aquaculture has developed a number of highly efficient and cost effective Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS). These can be applied to hatcheries, broodstock, aquatic research and on-growing operations. We provide monitoring systems with the RAS technology that can operate as a standalone unit, or better yet, when integrated to a main workstation.  Our highly sustainable approach incorporates aquaponic and hydroponic systems. The company constantly strives to be at the forefront of our industry by testing and developing innovative technologies.

ABT Innovia offers research services to support the development of vaccines, functional feeds, alternative protein sources, culture technologies and production techniques. Currently we have 12 biosecure wet labs with 20 RAS systems installed, and we are looking at expanding further later this year.  The facility is fully licenced for animal testing.  Systems are designed and built in-house by our team of bioplanners and engineers that can customise each system for clients’ requirements. The systems can be fresh water, seawater or any required salinity. Temperatures can range from 10oC to 32oC and egg hatching system at 6oC. Research is carried out on all aspects of the culture of aquatic species from egg to harvest.  We have worked with different species including salmon, trout, sturgeon, carp and charr, tilapia, pangasius and Asian seabass, shrimp, sea bream and sea bass, grouper and turbot.

ABT Marine provides a range of services including marine surveying, construction support and mapping/GIS. The techniques we employ include bathymetric and side scan sonar surveys, bottom type assessments, sub-bottom assessments, data confirmation and site inspections using both remote sensing and underwater video techniques.

ABT Aquatics main areas of work undertaken ranges from initial feasibility studies, outline planning with concept development, architectural & structural design with engineering, filtration and Life Support System (LSS) development, through to livestock supply, management support and turnkey operations.
